Ok now what happens. Can't wait to see where this comes up on my page. Now that I am aware it is here

Update

Thought I would drop in a photo of my latest project.

Since I went out and got my computer all cleaned up I decided It and I both needed a new desk to live in and around. Off to Office Max I went and found the perfect thing on sale. A nice writing desk. Reminded me of the little desk I had when I was a kid to do my home work on. A little bigger maybe, but close.

Of course everything these days is you get to put it together furniture. Well I am pretty handy for an old broad. Always believe if you want something done right do it yourself. Took me two days of crawling around on the floor with bits and pieces everywhere but it all worked out. Even got the runners on the drawers straight.

My little office is finally becoming what I want it to be. Neat. It is just a space in my closet in my bedroom, but now it doesn't look like a catch all. When you live in a mobile home you use the space you have. I took off my sliding closet doors, and since I am not a cloths horse, voila, instant office. Now at least it looks like and office and I feel more comfortable here so I can spend more time at the computer visiting you all.

P.S. Thought I would toss in the latest photo of my baby Spike. Not so much a baby any more. Ain't he cute?

Enjoy

Been a while

I know I have been negligent in blogging lately. I will try and make up for it.

I am shutting down all my other blog sites and will just concentrate my efforts here and in my e-mails.

As usual Yahoo has failed me. I am most certainly not happy with what has happened to 360. That profile thing which I thought had great potential just doesn't cut it. Too much Facebook wanna be and I am not a face book person, some are some aren't. Why did they ever have to screw with 360, once upon a time it was such a wonderful place. Oh well, just not to be.

Be back later with new photos. Hope to get around and visit some too. I am trying to quit smoking and typing really keeps my hands busy.

Love you all

Susan

You are The Wheel of Fortune

Good fortune and happiness but sometimes a species of intoxication with success

The Wheel of Fortune is all about big things, luck, change, fortune. Almost always good fortune. You are lucky in all things that you do and happy with the things that come to you. Be careful that success does not go to your head however. Sometimes luck can change.

New Yahoo

Rating:
Category:Other
I am very unhappy today with the new Yahoo.
My page is all over the place and I can't seem to get it to move back where it belongs.
What is with these people (Yahoo)

Art Sunday

Thought I would drop in a little something for Art Sunday.

I see that a lot of people are still carrying on the old traditions so why not.

You may have seen this before, maybe not.

Van Gogh, Sunflowers, of course

Enjoy

My thoughts on June 6th 2009

Both of my parents were in the Army in World War Two. My mother a WAC who ran up on Omaha Beach about a month after the troops landed with her typewriter in hand ( just like those guys in Saving Private Ryan). She was a secretary. One of many who were on their way to Paris like everyone else, to help set up command headquarters for our military. My dad was a young Lieutenant at the time. I know he didn't land on the first rush, he was in the Signal Corps not the Infantry, probably some time around the same time my mom hit the beach. He would never talk about it. The only thing he would ever say was he hurt his back when someone jumped on top of him in a fox hole. I know he has the silver star, don't know what for, but I do know that he too was on his way to Paris to help coordinate communications for command headquarters. That is what the Signal Corps does.

It seems back then everyone was on their way to Paris, and then "we'd take Berlin" to quote Leonard Cohen. To save the world, I guess we did that. What would have happened if all the allies had not fought to do this. If the United States had decided to stay isolationists and not join the war. Oh how terrible it would have been.

I am proud of my folks, who are no longer alive, that they helped in this great endeavor. My dad stayed in the army for a long wonderful career and my mom well she became a wife and mother but always looked back on her time in France as the most exciting in her life.  They met there, in Paris, during the war.  Strange what war can do.

My thoughts on the 65th anniversary of June 6th 1944, D-Day.

Be aware

Ok it is time for animal appreciation.

This month, being June is officially Adopt - A- Shelter- Cat Month.

So get busy and go out there and save the life of a kitty, or two or three. They are small and fun. I know I have seven.

Since many people seem to think that it is a bad thing to fix their cats we have poor homeless kitties everywhere, many ending up in shelters to be euthanized.

So since we don't want poor homeless kitties losing their lives because some dumb people can't neuter their cats go adopt a shelter cat. Please

Also next week is Pet Appreciation week. So give a big smooch to what ever four legged or winged creature lives with you and tell them how much you love them and appreciate them sharing their lives with you.

All be well

Susan, daughter of Gaia
