I posted this too early to see that we were doing a thing for our most wonderful friend Lina, who after all was the start of Art Sunday. I had just started blogging on 360 when she started Art Sunday and I was just overwhelmed by what wonderful friends I had found that did something like this. Nemo I remember you telling me how to post the paintings I had chosen and telling me how this person The Wicked Witch had told you how to do it and where is our Steph, who was right there at the start. Miss Lina, I do miss her so much, I don't like to think sad thoughts but I think she will not be with us again. Such a wonderful brillant intelligent person. Well the paintings I posted today go way back to some of the first I ever posted. Lina thank you for helping me remember the art I really love, I didicate this Art Sunday to you.
Yes, the light in this is fantastic. These are his paintings from Arles. There is a theory that he was well into his manicness and that is why the brightness in all the paintings from there but most think it was just because the sun there was just so bright and beautiful. This my favorite painting of his and I have been lucky enough to see it in person. Just overwhelming.
Excellent I choose Toulouse. I love his subject matter.
