It could be a (Cereus peruvianus) or Peruvian Apple or peruvian torch plant. In my book it says erect habit, deep green-blue with up to 10 ribs and downy areoles with yellow spines. scented, brown -green flowers open at night during summer followed by red, globular fruit. In S Africa it is declared a weed. If it isn't this it could be a Euphorbia.
