Movie Review

Run and I mean run run run to your nearest theatre and see Inception.

This is without a doubt one of the greatest well made movies ever. It is an overall movie experience. It is not just those special effects you see on the ads. They all happen in the beginning of the movie, oh there are more but they fit so well into the movie that they are just the reality and not something strange. It is suspenseful, oh so suspenseful and a love story too but not of the usual sort. Just impossible to describe, so get out of your chair and go see it asap.

Hi happy Monday.

We are covered with clouds today and I am hoping for rain to break some of this humidity. The evaporative cooler is doing ok so far this morning but it is still sort of cool out. I am thinking very hard of going to check out a window a/c unit. Like I said yesterday I am getting way to old, but what doesn't kill you and all that character building jazz. I'll be massaging people in shorts and a tank top today, not a pretty thought.

Later gators

  1. LOVE your movie review, thanks for the suggestion. i do love a good suspense filled film.

no break in sight for us from the heat; in fact, we are told it will get worse before it gets better.

    keep yourself cool!

  2. The previews caught my attention, so maybe the theater will catch a few of my bucks today. I usually wait for most to go to video, but some are better seen old school.

  3. Oh yeah you can only see this old school. It would lose a lot in the translation.
so glad to see you, it has been a long time. Hope things are going ok . I know this is a bad time of the year for you. Hope little buster is ok too, I did remember his name right didn't I?

  4. ... I've heard, a lot recently, that this film is very sci-fi ... which you know that I love ... so thanks for the review :-)

And - you definitely, definitely *should* get an air-conditioner - so much better for your health during the hottest days - yes!

  5. To tell the truth I can't stand airconditioned air. and now that the rain has started no need for it. I always bith for about a week when it is not only hot but humid, which is when my swamp cooler doesn't work so well, but it has passed and when it rains the temp drops and it is beautiful. You must see Inception. I wouldn't call it scifi more fantasy.

  6. Argh - you're reminding me of those hot summer days - here - where I feel trapped in the air-conditioning - then I eventually go outside just to get out of the enclosed air-conditioning - but outside is like a *kiln* - so then I eventually have to get back into the air-conditioning again - wanna live in a milder climate - in the near future ... ;-)

Is it raining there now? Lovely - I love the rain - are the flowers growing? When we were in Europe, everyone kept apologising whenever it was raining - and we kept saying, don't worry, where we're from, it hardly ever rains - we love it - look, look, the flowers are growing here!!! :D

Now - back to the movie ...

  7. I went to see this movie and I have to say I was disappointed. The special effects were interesting but the plot was so thin you could see through it.

  8. Really, I am very surprised. didn't you find yourself rivited to the edge of your seat?

  9. Not really. I love Leo DeCaprio and the special effects were amazing but the plot was too convuluted and difficult to follow. I guess I like more straight forward movies where you don't have to work so hard to follow the story.

  10. I know what you mean, I just gave myself up to the whole flow and went with. Trying to sort out what was happening just didn't work. I had read a review before I saw it and he suggested that was the way to go. It sure worked for me. At the one I was still wondering if that icon thingy was going to fall over and he was still in a dream. I am getting all wound up just thinking about it.

  11. So....if it had fallen over, he would be in reality or still in a dream? See....I'm still confused!!

  12. If it had fallen over he would still be in a dream. So I walked out of the theatre stil with big questions. I am going to see it again for sure.

  13. And was he still in the 2nd level or did he go back to the 1st level of dreaming??

  14. After he had gotten the Japanses guy and himself out of limbo It seemed like all had come around to being back to no dreaming, but who knows he could have been in someone elses dream. Strange movie. Ireally do have to see this again. Maybe I can pay more attention this time.
