Entry for July 13, 2007/ Friday Five, Have a great summer.

'Tis the Season:

1. Is it warm or cold in July where you live?

Warm is not the right word for what it is where I live which is north central Arizona, as of this year it qualifies as HOT AS HELL, it hit 114 on the fourth of July. Help

2. What is your favorite thing about this time of year? What is your least favorite?

Favorite things 1. First thing in the morning and the evening, but I think the morning tops it, just beautiful cool temps, we are talking 6:30 Am morning, birdies are out, flowers look pretty instead of baked, just perfect

Least , no rain and the heat.

3. What food and drink says "July" to you? Why?

Cold beer and anything that you don';t have to cook , oh except maybe the great corn we get from the next town over, we all wait with baited breath til Hauser's corn is ready to be picked. Why? well I think both are obvious unless of course you don't like cold beer or corn.

4. What is your favorite activity this time of year?

Being in a pool or staying in the house with the swamp cooler running

5. A friend from another country is visiting you during July. They know nothing about your area. What cautions do you give them? (pack warm, bring sunscreen, etc).

Tons of sunscreen, next to Australia Arizona is the skin cancer capital of the world. Also a hat with a big brim.
