Boy Is It Dark

Sure is deep into the heart of autumn.

6;10 AM and it is still pitch dark outside.

Usually at this time of the year I am still asleep at this hour, but the new doggie Miss Sadie has different ideas about  this. She needs her morning outing at least by 5;30. At least I can just open the door and she goes out in the back yard.

Good for her, I won't even venture out to get the paper until I can at least see it.

So I thought I would talk about it. Blogging sure can be fun sometime.

Everyone should go check out rk2this( Tammy) new snake. Very beautiful

A good friends daughter is in NYC giving birth to twins.

I have finally after many years hooked up with an old friend of mine from high school and I hope to hook up with the one that was the other side of our little triangle very soon. I am excited. These girls were my best friends in high school and for a while after in to adulthood.

Just looking at that online thing in the corner of my screen. I really must try that, but for some reason it freaks me out. How about some opinions, since you all seem to be on there. How is it?

Well time to go see if my coffee is ready.

Later

Susan

  5. the chat box is a really nice feature, but I ended up disabling it-as always popping in with people online, if you have a rainy or cold day to blow in the house-a nice feature to turn on-and chat live with your friends

  6. OMG, i LOVE to do the i.m. chat thingy once in a while! for bloggers, the typing is no biggie at all, LOL.

yes, please feel free to snag that USMC expression. it's a really good one, huh?

  7. Susan, I can take or leave the chat box...it's very basic...not that impressive, and there's nothing about it to fear... I normally keep mine in the "offline" mode because when I get online, I have only a certain amount of time during the time I've alloted for my "break"...although I could stay on longer...LOL...I TRY to be disciplined! It works ok...I find the action a tad slow at times...but if you leave yourself in the online mode, the probability of you being interrupted, a lot, is a pretty good one. I DO find it convenient if I want to talk to someone immediately and not have to wait for them to answer a private message. One of the things that I don't like about it is sometimes it holds up everything while it's loading when you first sign in.

I experience the darkness this morning too....Gus woke up earlier than usual, and I could have slept an hour longer, but I got up.

  8. Your the second person who said they disabled it. It does keep nagging at me. I never have a rainy day in the house, you know how arizona is, I always want to be outside.

  11. Strange question. My dad was a career army officer I grew up around the world, but mostly in New Jersey and Washington DC. Ft. Monmouth (NJ) Pentagon (DC). Went to 10 different elementry shools and 3 high schools. Hows that for an answer.

i knew you had lived in new york and dc but never knew were you grew up
how did you like traveling aroud?
i grew up in the same house until the day i moved out on my own
i now live about 5 blocks from that house

  13. Moving around was fun and weird all at the same time. Since I didn't know any other way, I just did it. I know it caused me to be a bit insecure in my later adult life when I was trying to settle down. Relationships suffered, I always left first, jobs too, I would just leave before they did because I was sure that was what was going to happen. My two friends are from Jersey. One was just like you never left Jersey till just recently. I just can't imagine that myself. I have in my adult life moved 4 times and even now I know that someday I will move again. No time soon though.

  15. Travel is the best. I plan on doing as much as I can in my "later" years.
I must say I did become very good at making friends thanks to all that moving.
