It took me almost a half an hour to sort out the fact that Multiply some how cheated me out of a whole year of blogs. I have been trying to sort out when my blogging anniversary is so I went back and back into my old blogs and found the date, which is Nov. 17th but I haven't been able to find the blogs that go with the year I started which was 05. Oh well a whole year gone to hell. Can't do much about it now. Four year anniversary of blogging coming up soon though. Pretty cool.

  2. I wouldn't be at all surprised. Even though they say they will keep them. If i wanted them deleted i wouldn't have transferred them to begin with. What is the good of a journal if you can't keep it. Most of the photos that came from fliker are gone anyway. Oh well can't hang on to that. I am glad I have what I have. It would probably be smart to take the ones that mean something in my life and copy them to my open office.
    Have a good nite, Kathy.

  4. I may be mistaken, but I think most blogs only store entries for a certain amount of time, especially on the free ones!

  5. Oh nice to know this know. I just tranferred all them over when 360 went belly up. You would think they could hang on a bit longer.

  7. Do they really delete? I wonder. Do you know how old is Multiply? I was aware of the site just a few weeks before opening my blog here. I saved someof the most interesting articles on my computer (Word) It is especially How-to stuff so the knowledge won't be lost (interesting for me that is)

  9. Not all of my entries from 360 transferred over, too....some got lost, evidently in the move....and some of them came over without the photos that I had used....that entire things was a huge mess! As I said, I may be mistaken....it's just a guess...but I do know that there are other sites that don't archive for over a certain amount of time....not saying Multiply is one of them, but it's a possibility.

  11. When I first started on Multiply, and I was still on 360 I tried to transfer my blogs over to Multiply, it only took one page, about 8 of them. So I just waited and then when I found out 360 was going belly up I transferred them. Thought they had all gone through, but I don't know now, did Multiply delete them or did they just not get transferred at all. It would have been nice if Yahoo would have transferred them to that new Yahoo site none of us use, ha ha.

  12. Well I never thought I would say this, but I love Yahoo. I guess I must have transferred my blogs to the new site when they were switching over because I just went and looked and every one of my blogs is still there right back to the very first one on Nov.17 2005. All the photos everything except the comments, who cares. I am so glad I am speechless. Maybe you all who were over there did what I did and your blogs are still safe and sound. I am just happy that we all got on top of this or I would have never gone back there and looked.we are fabulous,

  14. I tossed some dirt in the hole and slowly never looked back. The speed and problems forced me to go somewhere else. But The years spent with Yahoo were awesome. My mother and her last years will forever be with me. And Yahoo played a big part. But now I go there and it is still slow. I did transfer everything I thought but mulitiply only shows a portion on it. So I guess that the other parts are lost to cyberspace. I still have my memory though. And those sites will always be with me. But Susan I may have to go look back and see it it is all still there. Might be cool to see it all again. Pays to look back after all. Thanks for your input.
