Almost forgot, great new in the news this morning. House of Reps passed the Save the Wild Mustang Act. I am so happy. When it comes to the Senate I want all you people to call your senators and tell them to support saving wild horses and not to kill them. We are talking 30, 000 horses and burros killed, no can't happen. Lets spay and neuter and set up adoptions and rescues.

  1. well now check the news in the Everglades in Florida..they are killing Pythons! They were transplanted there by accident during a hurricane and now there are tens of thousands of them there and they are eating all the small animals etc. Pythons lay about 50 eggs each per yr and they are thriving.....

  2. Oh I know it is such a mess, the pythons are starting to eat the crocdiles and will take over the everglades if something is not done. I know they are trying to catch and i guess adopt some, but a whole lot are going to be killed. Blame people who just have to have exotic pets. When will they learn. What a shame.

  4. Like I said elsewhere - this is great, Susan. Why would they want to kill the mustangs anway? Are they like brumbies here in Aus? Well, even if you look at it impassionately, they're here within the ecosystem already now, and humans think they're successfully 'controlling' or 'managing' anything they can forsee? Of course not - tried that too many times with too many species! Nice move by your politicians.

  6. I watched the video. I know this has caused problems for some people and as much as I hate to say it. Why was this women trying to care for so many horses if she obviously couldn't afford to. I know kind heart and all that and I have taken in too many dogs at one time too. Its like those people who are found with too many cats etc. sometime its a hording thing. But in the long run I think more horses will be saved. This is about wild mustangs not domestic horses. Why should wild mustangs be rounded up for dog food. Any way that is my say on the subject.
